  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup sourdough discard
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan

Instructions

  1. In a stand mixer bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until foamy.
  2. Add garlic salt, olive oil, and sourdough discard to the yeast mixture. Gradually mix in flour until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm spot for about 20 minutes.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and transfer to a greased baking sheet.
  5. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with herbs and cheeses.
  6. Let rise again for about 15 minutes while preheating your oven to 400°F.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Cut into strips and serve warm.
