- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook sliced sausage for about 5 minutes until browned; remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, add shrimp seasoned with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink; remove shrimp.
- Add broccoli and a splash of water to the skillet. Cover and steam for 3-4 minutes until tender; uncover to evaporate excess water.
- Return sausage and shrimp to the skillet, pour in the honey garlic sauce, stir to combine, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until thickened.
- Serve hot over cooked rice or quinoa, garnished with fresh parsley or cilantro.
