Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 quarts filtered water
  • 6 tea bags (preferably Luzianne)
  • 12 cups seeded watermelon chunks
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • Optional: Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and steep tea bags for 15 minutes.
  2. Blend watermelon chunks and lime juice until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher.
  3. Remove tea bags from the saucepan and combine brewed tea with strained watermelon juice in the pitcher.
  4. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint if desired.
