  • 2 ½ pounds stew meat
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup cabernet sauvignon
  • 5 medium carrots
  • 1 lb baby Yukon gold potatoes
  • 2 cups yellow onions
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • Olive oil and butter

Instructions

  1. Cut the beef into cubes and season with black pepper, garlic salt, celery salt, and flour.
  2. Brown the seasoned beef in a skillet with olive oil until golden.
  3. Sauté diced onions and minced garlic in the same skillet.
  4. Transfer all browned meat, sautéed vegetables, and remaining ingredients (except peas) into the slow cooker.
  5. Cook on low for 7½ to 8 hours or high for 3½ to 4 hours.
  6. Add peas during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
