  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 8 oz wide egg noodles (cooked)
  • 2 cans sauerkraut (14 oz each), drained
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cans tomato soup (10.75 oz each)
  • 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • Garlic powder, dried parsley, salt, and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, brown ground beef with diced onion seasoned with garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread drained sauerkraut in the bottom of the baking dish; sprinkle with brown sugar.
  4. Layer cooked egg noodles over the sauerkraut followed by the beef mixture.
  5. In a bowl, mix tomato soup with water until smooth; pour over the casserole layers.
  6. Top with shredded Swiss cheese.
  7. Bake for 30–45 minutes until bubbly and golden.
