Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a 13×9-inch baking pan by lining it with aluminum foil and spraying it with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, confectioners' sugar, and salt. Cut in softened butter until the mixture resembles sandy crumbs.
  3. Press the crust mixture firmly into the prepared pan and bake for 15-18 minutes until lightly browned.
  4. Meanwhile, mix together brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, pecans, and chocolate chips for the filling.
  5. Pour the filling over the baked crust and return to the oven for an additional 25-30 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  6. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
