Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb chuck roast or flank steak (sliced into thin strips)
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 lb broccoli (cut into florets)
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 3 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Sauté the beef in canola oil using the Instant Pot's sauté function until browned. Transfer to a plate.
  2. Add beef broth, minced garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil; stir until dissolved.
  3. Lock the lid and pressure cook on high for 10 minutes. Release pressure quickly.
  4. Stir in cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce.
  5. Add broccoli; sauté briefly and re-lock lid for an additional 3-5 minutes until tender.
  6. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
