  • 8 skinless, boneless chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 110 g honey (1/3 cup)
  • 80 ml chicken stock (1/3 cup)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, coat the chicken thighs with cornflour, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat. Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown; flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
  3. Add butter; once melted, stir in minced garlic and reduce heat to medium.
  4. In a small bowl, combine honey, chicken stock, rice vinegar, and soy sauce; mix well.
  5. Pour the sauce into the skillet with the chicken; bring to a boil then reduce to simmer for about 4-5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Serve garnished with fresh parsley and chili flakes over boiled rice.
