Made with just a few pantry staples, these tortillas are incredibly easy to prepare and can be used in countless recipes—whether you’re whipping up tacos, burritos, or wraps. Once you taste the difference of homemade versus store-bought, you’ll find it hard to go back! Perfect for meal prep, they also freeze well for future use.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ¾ cup warm water

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Blend in vegetable oil and warm water until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 2 minutes using a stand mixer or manually for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rest covered for 1 hour.
  5. Divide the dough into 10 equal pieces and roll each into a ball; let rest for another 10 minutes.
  6. Preheat a dry skillet over medium-high heat.
  7. Roll each ball into a thin circle on a floured surface and cook in the heated skillet for about 20-30 seconds per side until golden.
