- 4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup beef broth or water
- 1/4 cup milk (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned (5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until onion is soft (3-4 minutes).
- Layer the cooked beef mixture in the prepared baking dish, followed by thinly sliced potatoes. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
- Sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan cheese on top, then pour broth around the edges. Drizzle milk if desired.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
