  • 7 g instant yeast
  • 20 g honey
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 egg
  • 40 g butter (for dough)
  • 25 g butter (for filling)
  • 450 g steak
  • 5 g salt
  • 3 g cayenne powder
  • 3 g red bell pepper powder
  • 3 g onion powder
  • 2 g garlic powder
  • 1 g dried parsley
  • 80 g red onion
  • 75 g red bell pepper
  • grated cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine lukewarm milk, yeast, and honey; mix well.
  2. Add flour, beaten egg, butter, and salt; knead for 10–12 minutes until smooth.
  3. Cover dough and let rise in a warm place for about one hour until doubled in size.
  4. Deflate dough gently and divide into 16 pieces; shape into balls and flatten slightly.
  5. Stack two pieces of dough and roll out; coat with semolina and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Allow rolls to rise for another 30 minutes before baking.
  7. Preheat skillet over medium heat; bake rolls until golden brown.
  8. In another skillet, heat butter with olive oil; cook seasoned beef with vegetables until done and cheese melts.
  9. Assemble by adding beef filling to rolls; serve warm.
