Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy; add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla.
- Gradually incorporate milk, alternating with flour mixed with baking powder and salt.
- Divide batter into three bowls; mix in red gelatin in one bowl, blue gelatin in another, and leave the third bowl plain.
- Layer each cupcake liner starting with white batter, followed by red, and finish with blue.
- Bake for about 18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
- For frosting, beat butter until creamy; gradually add confectioners' sugar and mix in vanilla and milk to desired consistency.
- Frost cooled cupcakes using a piping bag and decorate with icing gel or edible glitter.
