  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 45 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef or chicken broth
  • 15 oz can corn, drained
  • 15 oz can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 15 oz can chili beans in chili sauce
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 4 oz can chopped green chiles
  • Spices: chili powder, cumin, oregano, onion powder, garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add chopped onions and minced garlic; sauté until onions are translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Pour in the broth and add corn, black beans, chili beans, crushed tomatoes, and green chiles. Stir to combine.
  4. Add spices (chili powder, cumin, oregano, onion powder, garlic powder) and mix well.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil then reduce heat to low. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes to meld flavors.
