  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup whipping cream (or sour cream)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a bundt pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together granulated sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  3. Cream butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.
  5. Combine flour and baking powder; alternate adding to the wet mixture with whipping cream.
  6. Layer half of the batter in the pan, add half of the cinnamon mixture, top with remaining batter and sprinkle with more cinnamon mixture.
  7. Bake for about 55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool before icing.
