- 3 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- ½ cup water or beef broth
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
- 1 yellow onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Marinate the sliced beef in soy sauce, cornstarch, rice vinegar, and sesame oil for at least 15 minutes.
- Whisk together oyster sauce, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, cornstarch, and water/beef broth in a bowl.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add marinated beef and cook until browned (about 2–3 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
- Stir-fry sliced bell peppers and onions in the same skillet for about 3–4 minutes before adding minced garlic and ginger.
- Return beef to the skillet, pour in the sauce mixture, and cook until thickened (about 2–3 minutes).
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot over rice or noodles.
