- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups chicken broth

- 1 ½ cups whole milk
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, sear the chicken in olive oil for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil; add rice and simmer for 15–18 minutes until tender.
- In the same skillet used for chicken, melt butter over medium heat and whisk in flour until golden brown.
- Gradually add milk and broth while whisking continuously; stir in seasonings and cheeses until thickened.
- Return seared chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over it; cover and simmer on low for about 10 minutes.
- Serve over fluffy rice garnished with fresh parsley.
