  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 4 oz semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until blended. Add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually combine with wet ingredients.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  5. For the mousse, melt semisweet chocolate with milk over low heat; let cool slightly.
  6. Whip the chilled heavy cream until soft peaks form; gradually add powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  7. Gently fold the cooled chocolate mixture into the whipped cream until combined.
  8. Spread the mousse over cooled brownies and refrigerate for at least three hours before serving.
