- 1 lb smoked sausage, thinly sliced
- 2 lbs diced potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the sliced smoked sausage. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Sauté diced onion and minced garlic in the same skillet until translucent.
- In a mixing bowl, combine diced potatoes, cooked sausage, sautéed onion and garlic, cheddar cheese, ranch seasoning mix, milk, melted butter, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 60 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
