  • 1 lb smoked sausage, thinly sliced
  • 2 lbs diced potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the sliced smoked sausage. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté diced onion and minced garlic in the same skillet until translucent.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine diced potatoes, cooked sausage, sautéed onion and garlic, cheddar cheese, ranch seasoning mix, milk, melted butter, salt, and pepper.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
