  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cheddar soup
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1 box Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix (plus included seasoning packet)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and onion until browned and fully cooked.
  3. Drain excess grease and stir in the cheddar soup, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and one cup of cheddar cheese until combined.
  4. Spread the beef mixture evenly in the baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the biscuit mix (without seasoning), shredded cheese, and milk until just mixed. Pour over the beef mixture.
  6. Bake uncovered for 50-55 minutes or until the biscuit topping is golden brown.
