  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk and sugar. Set aside.
  4. Cut cold butter into the flour mixture until it resembles small peas.
  5. Pour in the buttermilk mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in floured blueberries.
  7. Turn dough onto a floured surface, roll into a disc and fold several times.
  8. Roll to about 1-inch thick; cut out biscuits using a cutter.
  9. Place biscuits in a cast iron skillet slightly touching.
  10. Bake for 6 minutes; brush with melted butter and bake for an additional 4–6 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Cool slightly before drizzling with lemon glaze made from powdered sugar, lemon juice, and milk.
