Ingredients
- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 1 pound large shrimp, raw and deveined
- 1 pound top sirloin steak, cubed
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
- Blackened seasoning (approximately 3 teaspoons total)
- Garlic, onion, kosher salt, black pepper, vegetable oil
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
- Season shrimp with blackened seasoning and sauté in a skillet with vegetable oil for 2-3 minutes per side until pink; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sear the cubed steak with additional blackened seasoning for about 4-5 minutes; remove from heat.
- For the alfredo sauce, melt butter in the skillet, sauté diced onion until translucent, add minced garlic, then pour in heavy cream and simmer. Gradually whisk in parmesan until smooth.
