Instructions

  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter with brown and granulated sugars until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients into the wet mixture without overmixing.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips evenly.
  7. Press half the dough into the bottom of the dish; drizzle caramel sauce on top.
  8. Spoon remaining dough over caramel layer gently.
