  • 2 tuna steaks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, sesame oil, ground ginger, soy sauce, garlic powder, rice vinegar, and half of the sesame seeds to create the marinade.
  3. Pour half of the marinade over the tuna steaks and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Remove the tuna from the marinade and discard excess; coat each steak with remaining sesame seeds.
  5. Grill the tuna for 2-3 minutes on each side or until desired doneness (135°F for medium-rare).
  6. Serve topped with remaining marinade, green onions, and additional sesame seeds.
