Ingredients

  • 30 oz marshmallows (divided)
  • 18 cups puffed rice cereal (divided)
  • 9 oz unsalted butter (divided)
  • Red & blue food coloring

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13 inch dish and set aside.
  2. For the red layer: Melt 3 oz butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add 10 oz marshmallows and stir until melted. Mix in red food coloring, then combine with 6 cups of puffed rice cereal. Press into the prepared dish.
  3. For the white layer: Repeat without food coloring using the remaining marshmallows and butter combined with another 6 cups of cereal. Spread over the red layer.
  4. For the blue layer: Melt remaining butter and marshmallows. Mix in blue food coloring and combine with the last 6 cups of cereal. Spread on top of the white layer.
  5. Allow to cool for about 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
